Learn To Knit Brioche

Carol was a little intimidated by brioche before she tried it.

Did you feel the same when you look at those squishy, dense stitches?

In this seasons club, we will have two brioche accessory patterns designed by Bristol ivyr, one for a pair of fingerless mitts and another for a cosy cowl. These patterns use the stunning colour combination of Cowgirl Blues 'Merino DK' yarn.

The mitts are primarily worked in the round with a flat, attached upper cuff and the cowl is primarily worked flat with an end edging section worked in the round.

Yarn Kit Options

If you would like yarn included with your club, we offer the 'Full Club' option.

Our yarn for this club is a super soft hand dyed dk weight superwash merino. Cowgirl Blues ‘Merino DK’ has 186 yds / 170 m per 3.6 oz / 100 g.

The club will have 2 skeins of yarn, one in a semi-solid (main) colour and one in a variegated (contrast) colour. This combination works particularly well for two colour brioche, creating a beautiful harmony for the end design..

Your chosen yarn will be shipped in early April.

But which option will you choose?👇

Workshops & Support

The highlight of our clubs are the accompanying workshops and support from both ourselves and our wider community. Many choose our clubs to try their hand at a new-to-them technique.

Never knit brioche before?

You won’t be alone! If you are new to brioche you will really enjoy the videos for this class, where I’ll go step-by-step through every stage of the pattern. I’ll also include an extra section on brioche basics and fixing brioche mistakes in your work.

Our workshops are recorded in English and have accompanying subtitles and an interactive comments section.

Reviews

Thank goodness for the Teachable lessons. It is so obvious when Carol demonstrates, and I am sure I could work it out for myself, but it does take the stress out of getting it wrong.

Participated in 4 Seasons so far. I love being able to refer to the videos when needed and work at my own pace. Suitable for all levels of knitters. I have learned a lot and really enjoy the experience.
