Learn To Knit Brioche
Are you ready to try something a little different with your knitting needles?
In this season's club, we're diving into two-colour brioche, a knitting technique that Carol was a little intimidated by before she tried it.
Did you feel the same when you look at those squishy, dense stitches?
Designed by Bristol Ivy, the Housman Cowl and Mitt Set guides you through bold textures, clever construction, and just the right amount of challenge to keep things interesting.

What Will You Knit?
Bristol Ivy has once again outdone herself with this innovative and fun set of knits.
The Housman set uses two colour brioche both in the round and flat. They work from simple pattern repeats into more a complex joining pattern to give you a set of patterns that offer a lot of new techniques.
The mitts are primarily worked in the round with a flat, attached upper cuff and the cowl is primarily worked flat with an end edging section worked in the round.
Reviews
Thank goodness for the Teachable lessons. It is so obvious when Carol demonstrates, and I am sure I could work it out for myself, but it does take the stress out of getting it wrong.

The highlight of our clubs are the accompanying workshops and support from both ourselves and our wider community. Many choose our clubs to try their hand at a new-to-them technique.
Never knit brioche before?
You won’t be alone! If you are new to brioche you will really enjoy the videos for this class, where I’ll go step-by-step through every stage of the pattern. I’ll also include an extra section on brioche basics and fixing brioche mistakes in your work.
Our workshops are recorded in English and have accompanying subtitles and an interactive comments section.

Meet Your Teacher
Carol Feller trained initially as a textile artist and then as a structural engineer. While both backgrounds are very different, the influences can be seen in her design work, which is well-shaped, flattering to wear and enjoyable to knit.
Carol has been widely published in books and magazine and travels the world teaching in yarn shops and fibre festivals. The classes she teaches cover a wide range of subjects, from cables and chart reading, through garment shaping and customisation right through to short rows and colourwork. In her classes, you'll move from learning the basics to refining your knitting skills and fixing problems.
